MRA Teaching Job Description

Responsibilities
Milwaukee Renaissance Academy welcomes individuals who relentlessly pursue student growth and who consistently strive to improve their skills as an effective classroom assistant. Listed below are examples of typical job duties (or responsibilities):

Assist lead teachers in providing academically rigorous, standards-based instruction each day from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lead one-on-one and small group instruction
Conduct and supervise ongoing assessments of students’ performance level
Assist in student arrival and departure, transitions between class periods, and lunch periods
Lead a learning team and assist in the supervision of homework club
Complete tasks assigned by the Executive Director, Academic Dean and Director of Student Support

Qualifications and Experience

Ability to focus when presented with a wide variety of tasks
Maintains a professional demeanor
High school diploma and previous experience with school age children required

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

Start Date
Exceptional candidates will assume a full time role no later than August 1, 2008.
The positions will remain open until filled.
